- Leave dressers full of light apparel – no coin collections, please.
- Dismantle shelving units and beds; remove china cabinet glass shelves.
- Pack all lamps and lampshades.
- Remove pictures and mirrors from walls and dressers.
- Put frozen food in boxes and store in freezer.
- Empty fuel from lawnmowers and other equipment.
- Disconnect appliances and tape cords to their backs.
- Disconnect propane tanks from barbeque.
- Bundle and tape garden tools and other loose items.
- Close and secure all boxes with wide packing tape.
- Arrange for a babysitter on moving day.
